Shutterstock stockphoto review

Shutterstock – Over 20 million stock photos, illustrations, vectors, and videos

Shutterstock has one of the largest and most comprehensive collections of photo, icon and vector images. We have been using  Shutterstock for years and we find it very useful.  They offer package deals and also monthly subscriptions so that you can download as many images as you like during the subscription period. A drawback of Shutterstock is that some images are priced on the premium end.  However, they do offer one of the best quality images that are exclusive to them, so in our mind, this definitely helps justify their pricing.

Bigstock Photo Review

BigStock – over 11 million royalty-free photographs and illustrations, available for almost any purpose

BigStock is our favorite photos provider. It has a fantastic selection of background images, portraits, landscapes, fashion photography and much more.  BigStock’s selection of  images and icons is not as comprehensive as Shutterstock, but it has its advantages!  It’s very affordable and costs around $1-$3 per image which is a reasonable price to enhance your website.  If you look carefully, you will see that we actually use BigStock images for a lot of our templates’ header and plug-in images.
